VW Transporter Remap — Stage 1 Power, Torque & Drivability
The VW Transporter is one of the most popular vans in the UK — and one of the most popular vans to remap. The 2.0 TDI engine, in 84, 102, 110, 140, 150 and 204 bhp variants across the T5, T6 and T6.1, responds to a custom Stage 1 remap with more power, more torque, and a measurably more eager throttle.
Boostcore remaps Transporters across Southampton, Hampshire, Eastleigh, Totton, Romsey, Fareham, Portsmouth, Winchester and the surrounding area — whether your van is a panel van, kombi, shuttle, single-cab, double-cab, or a camper conversion by anyone from well-known converters to a one-off builder.
Engine Variants We Remap
The 2.0 TDI CR engine appears across three Transporter generations:
- T5 GP (2009–2015) — 2.0 TDI in 84, 102, 140 and 180 bhp. EA189 family, Bosch EDC17CP14 / EDC17C46. Read via OBD on most.
- T6 (2015–2019) — 2.0 TDI in 84, 102, 150 and 204 bhp. EA288 family, Bosch EDC17C46 / EDC17CP44. OBD on most, bench on protected units.
- T6.1 (2019–present) — 2.0 TDI in 90, 110, 150 and 199 bhp. EA288 gen 2, Bosch MD1CS001 on the latest units. Bench work on the MD1 ECUs.
We confirm the exact ECU type and software level before quoting, so the file is matched to your specific van. No generic maps — the file is calibrated to the engine, the gearbox and the use case (trades, courier, camper, towing).
